The believers in the book of Acts were devoted to the teachings of the apostles because it held personal meaning for them. These teachings had transformed their lives, and they were being used by God to transform others. Spiritual growth and worship were top priorities for the early church in Acts. Can we say the same for our own communities today? Let's examine why this was crucial for the early followers of Jesus and how it can be relevant to us today. (Acts 2:40-47)

In this podcast, we are going to talk about how the church today is wrought with suspicion and has a reputation for being judgemental and out of date. There are many who have left the church. Instead of thinking about getting people to come back or come to the church, let’s be people who bring the conversation about Jesus. It is about getting to know Jesus, who Jesus is, and what Jesus wants from us. What Jesus has come to tell us. The church is the spiritual community where we gather to worship Jesus. We are not to worship the church and admire those who are spiritual.

The story of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10: 25-37 asks, "Who is my neighbor?" Jesus tells a story and emphasizes that we should actively look for opportunities to be a neighbor instead of waiting for them to come to us. We must demonstrate the values of the Kingdom of God to our neighbors and love as one. The highest calling in life is to be a good neighbor. But what does it mean to be a neighbor and love as one? Where do we find the power to do this?

Psalm 37 is a treasured and timeless scripture that has deeply resonated with me over the years. I often think of it as the "Holy Highway" because of the invaluable guidance and wisdom it provides, which can be applied to our lives today.

In this political season, we're seeing both foolish and wise people who believe they are voting for the right person, thinking their system will make the world better. The scriptures say we are born with foolishness, which we see in children and in ourselves as adults. So, how do we avoid foolishness? Psalm 14 gives us some good advice.
